Established in Queensland in 1988, the company is a member of the Civil Contractors Federation. Brittwood Constructions holds certification with the Main Roads Department of Queensland at the level R2-B1-F3. Additionally we have a documented safety and environmental management system in place.
The working Directors are Mr Peter Mead and Mr Peter Cuffe. Both are Civil Engineers with in excess of 35 years experience each. Details of each Director’s experience can be viewed on our website under “About Us”.

Brittwood Constructions were asked to construct a 63 space sealed carpark at the Bundamba Secondary College for Builder - TP Turner Pty Ltd and their client, Project Services ( Department of Public Works ). The site was an existing unsealed carpark being used by staff. In order to minimise disruption ,the work was scheduled to be carried out over the September School Vacation . After discovering some initial foundation problems, the project was completed in just 3 weeks and staff were able to occupy the carpark once again. Brittwood Constructions are working closely with TP Turner Pty Ltd and the remaining civil works will be completed once the buildings are finished.
Brittwood Constructions have been recently awarded the contract to construct carparking for the International Buddist Association of Queensland at the Chung Tian Temple in Priestdale.
The scope of work includes provision for carparking for approx 150 vehicles, including associated services, landscaping and lighting. A feature of this project will be the construction of a precast panel retaining wall up to 4.6 metres high constructed to match a similar wall built in a previous stage and required to provide symmetry for the overall site.

Story of the Month - Lawnton
Brittwood Constructions has just completed a Contract for the refurbishment of a 3ha Industrial Site at Lawnton for Brown Consulting.
Work involved the reworking of 20,000 M³ of uncontrolled fill, another 20,000 M³ of imported filling, construction of 200m of concrete channel, rock mattresses and grassing. As part of our quality control for the job, our animal spotter noticed a colony of Koala’s living in trees on or near the job site. Discussions took place with the Owner, Engineers and Brittwood Constructions. As a result of these discussions, a clump of trees on the edge of the job were preserved so that this colony would continue to live in the area. As can be seen from the pictures, one of the Koala’s has taken up residence in the trees preserved for their purpose and was happily sleeping when we visited the site recently.
The work was completed on time and to the Clients and local residents’ satisfaction.
